I’m using Wealthy Affiliate in the UK, and can already see how other “wealthy affiliates” are getting on from within the Wealthy Affiliate community and on social media.
Some are absolutely killing it, making thousands of dollars with their blogs or online marketing or a combination of both.
Some, like me, have come back to it after finding it too hard to break into their own little niches on the internet and stopping at the first, second, third, hurdles.
Some just give up and try the next shiny object. I’ve done this, too.
So How Can You Make Wealthy Affiliate Commissions Without a Website?
Well, first off, it would really help if you did have a website, and you can create this for free (no strings attached bar the usual up selling but this is quite minimal).
But let’s say you don’t have a website, or you’re building one, or you simply don’t want one. Here are some ways to help others by referring them to Wealthy Affiliate and encouraging them to make a go of monetizing their passion or knowledge base.
Let’s start with Word of Mouth.
As I’ve mentioned, I’m based in the UK and if it’s anything like here from wherever you are, you very likely know of hard-working people who are struggling to make ends meet. It could even be you reading this. Let’s say you know of a tradesman working on the tools, they’ve been working hard for years but feel overworked and underpaid. As well as not appreciated. They’ve got a load of knowledge from working and maybe even a hobby or pastime they’re passionate about.
They probably never considered trying out a website or blog to help others and monetize their knowledge and/or passion or maybe thought everybody else knows what they know.
But you’d be surprised at what people search for when looking for help.
Keeping with the tradesman example, your plasterer mate down the pub is broke or worried about work, or even bored when not working. You’ve come across my website revenuestreams.org and now know of a way to build a free website with free hosting and even free training.

At this point, not a penny needs to be spent, credit card stays safely in wallet. Your mate uses your referral link to sign up to Wealthy Affiliate and gets going with his side hustle that could potentially skyrocket his income. So far, all you’ve done is signed up to a free Wealthy Affiliate account yourself!
Your plasterer friend signs up. builds his website and checks out the keyword searches on Jaaxy, the free keyword search platform you get access to with Wealthy Affiliate. Starting with the basics, he searches “how to plaster a wall.”
Above is an absolute basic search that hundreds of people are looking for each month.
885 people, on average, are searching “how to plaster a wall.” Your plasterer friend is an expert at this. He could likely write out a step by step guide on how to plaster a wall, and what not to do. According to the results above, if they reach the first page of Google, putting aside all the other search engines, they should be getting around 151 visitors a month.
This may not seem like much, but this is one keyword phrase, and they’ve only just started.
Another result above is “how to plaster damaged wall.”
This gets 32 searches a month, but looking at the QSR, which is basically the amount of competing websites for this particular search term, there is no competition so this first search alone could be very lucrative.
The plasterer could go in any direction now. He could promote his favourite plastering tools on Amazon and get paid regularly for products he recommends (and what to avoid). His visitors will learn to trust him because he has product reviews on things he knows about, guides on how to plaster things, etc.etc.
He could even hone in on local traffic and build his website on bringing in new leads and get more work in. He could do both and more!
How Does Referring Someone Else to Wealthy Affiliate to Build Their Website Help You?
Well, you’ve helped your plasterer friend make a side hustle for himself, and chances are he’s well on his way to deciding to go Premium, giving him access to more websites he can monetize- once you’ve started this mindset you’ll get more ideas to pursue and profit from- and you get a monthly recurring commission, not just from the initial sign up but for as long as the person you referred is using the Wealthy Affiliate and Jaaxy platforms.
This costs nothing extra to the person you referred, it’s a share of the monthly or annual membership. At this point they should be making more than enough to cover their membership!
How Much Can You Earn From Wealthy Affiliate Commissions?
From your plasterer mate example above, you will receive commissions beginning from the month of sign up. On the first month you will receive $8.00, as the first month has a $19.00 Special Offer. Each and every month from then on, you will receive $23.50.
If they choose to pay annually, so a whole year’s worth in one go, you will receive $235.00 each and every year for as long as they stay as a member.
If you are still a starter member, as in you have not signed up to Wealthy Affiliate Premium, your commissions will be lower but still recurring each and every month. The first month would be $4.00 for the Special Offer and then $11.75 monthly or $117.50 for annual memberships.
Remember, this is based on ONE person so far!
If you can help one mate or family member make their own money, you’ll soon be convincing others to try it for themselves. If they can’t make it work, they lose nothing.
Let’s say your plasterer mate has made it, he’s now raking in money from his side gig, and in a more comfortable position than when you first gave him your link.
This example is from someone who can make money from the side with his current job, either part of it or separate.
Now let’s say another friend is stuck in a dead end job and not enjoying things right now. Maybe she trained as a nail technician or something else she was passionate about but not working in that industry. Instead of wasting that knowledge and passion, she can put it to good use by creating her own brand and build an affiliate website by serving her audience and taking commissions automatically from any sales she gets! Once again, she will soon see the benefit of going Premium once she starts making a passive income and wants to build upon it. It doesn’t even just need to be an affiliate website for these guys. It could end up being a drop shipping or consulting brand or website!
Don’t forget that with your friends and families signing up, they not only get access to SiteRubix to build their own website and can get involved with the Wealthy Affiliate community, but also so much training that covers everything but in an organized, easy to digest format.
Now, I can’t honestly verify if Wealthy Affiliate has the best training in the world, I haven’t even finished it yet!
But what I can say is that without the starter modules and community, either in discussions, blogs or other member’s training from their own specialty, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now. The training really is built to get you going and learn at your own pace and get to making money right from the start.
So you’ve shared your Wealthy Affiliate links with friends and family. There are other ways to share without your own site:
- Social Media
- Local Businesses
- YouTube
Social Media is a good one. Someone on your FB feed wants to make some money. You give show them Wealthy Affiliate, they try it. Others see your link and get curious, they try it. You may even get your link shared between friends of friends or in other group!
You could even share relevant articles and blog posts from other members to help your own audience/circles. You get your own affiliate link from pretty much anything you want to share from Wealthy Affiliate, so you still get credit and any due commissions!
Then there’re local businesses. Maybe someone at your local cafe could monetize their knowledge of branded coffee and didn’t know how easy it is make their own blog and make sales in their own little corner of the internet! Your local builders merchant could create a product guide on things they already sell, so they’ve got a head start! You just need imagination and an open mindset to help others and help yourself in the process.
As long as you’re honest and make sure everyone knows there’s no guarantee or get-rich-quick shenanigans, everyone you share this with has a fair shot at changing their lives for the better!
Now let’s move on to YouTube.
Create a channel of your own, by simply using your existing account or making a new one, and create videos either with or without you on camera talking about the benefits (and drawbacks to keep it balanced and honest) and let the video platform sweep your videos up within the algorithms and watch the viewings go up!
This should also work for podcasts if you’re not comfortable making videos. Or do both! You won’t dominate the top ten viewings or anything but you don’t need to! There’s enough traffic everywhere, all the time, to go around.
How Much Money Can You Make on Wealthy Affiliate?
Putting aside the money you could make from taking onboard the training and creating your own site (this is around my third site so far!), here are some examples of the money you could make from Wealthy Affiliate commissions on a monthly basis:
You’ve shared your links far and wide, both physically with friends and family, social media and online.
So for the first example you get 30 referrals in a month. 5% of these sign up to Premium. This gives you $266 per month.
Or let’s say you get 150 sign ups. Let’s stick with 5% going Premium, seems like a reasonable percentage to me. This gives you $2,040 per month.
You can see from this how easy it can rack up. If 12% of 30 a month sign up for an average of 12 months, you’d get $1,509.
According to Wealthy Affiliate’s current figures, 2 in 8 or over 25% of people go Premium. Once you’ve signed them up, they’ll clearly get what they need from then on! In fact, one of the first things to happen when new members sign up is one of the founders, Kyle, messages you direct to make sure you’ve got everything you need. Although automated, he does respond and both the founders are often found on the live chat discussing things and helping out.
